In recent reports, Rolling Stone already names BTS‘ comeback as one of the biggest music moments of 2026, recalling the boy group’s impact on the entertainment industry and their contribution to K-Pop globalization.

Recently, Rolling Stone Italy made a new report assuring that even in the first weeks of 2026, we can predict some of this year’s biggest pop culture moments, such as Bad Bunny‘s Super Bowl Halftime show, Madonna‘s ‘Confessions’ part two, unexpected but exciting movie sequels, and of course, BTS’ comeback.

After a hiatus of more than three years, where they debut as a soloist and complete their mandatory military service, they are finally back and working on their next confirmed album and tour as a group, but this is not like any other K-Pop act comeback.

“During this hiatus, many groups have attempted to fill the void left by BTS. Think of Stray Kids or SEVENTEEN. Successful groups, no doubt. But no one, to date, has managed to take their place. Why? Because it’s not just about sales or streams, but about global and cultural impact.”

BTS is known as the ones who paved the way for the genre internationally, for their huge and powerful fandom, and for their strong bond with fans that changed the rules for many in the industry and made their seven members into stars that have been awaited around the world.

“Many experts believe their comeback will coincide with a return of enthusiasm in the market: South Korean analysts and economists have pointed out that a single BTS concert in Seoul could generate over 1.2 trillion won (about 895 million dollars) and create thousands of jobs related to the entertainment and tourism sectors.”

Finally, the media outlet assures that regardless of what happens from their comeback on March 20, “BTS’ comeback is already one of the most important moments of the year. And it’s yet to happen. Are you ready for it?”
