The renowned Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin continues to be involved in the huge controversy over the allegation of abuse that his nephew, Dennis Yadiel Sánchez Martin, has made against him. The young man assured on Friday that he wants the whole truth to come out about his famous uncle, whom he has accused of sexual abuse, harassment and domestic violence since he was a minor.
The beginning of the lawsuit against Ricky Martin for alleged sexual abuse began in July 2022, the same date in which Sanchez Martin was granted a protection order for domestic violence against his ‘Viva la vida loca‘ singer.
However, the young man dropped the lawsuit for a few months, until last week it became known that he is again taking the case with a new legal team. The young man has also been sued by the artist, so a tough battle is expected in the courts of San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The young man’s visit to the San Juan court on Friday, lasted a few minutes and became “academic“, as indicated by Judge Arnaldo Castro Callejo himself, when Sanchéz Martin arrived at the court accompanied by his lawyer, Michael Corona, who assumed his defense in this new stage of the lawsuit.
The young man affirms that he “wants the whole truth to be known“, and assured that now he is ready to confront his popular uncle in court and let the whole world know what he has already done. If the Puerto Rican artist is found guilty, he would be facing up to 50 years in prison, as established by the law in “La isla del encanto“, against cases of incest and sexual abuse.
So far, Ricky’s legal team has not issued a new statement on the matter, but it is expected that they will also attend the court to raise other details before initiating the legal battle.
However, it is expected that Ricky Martin will not attend until he is actually called by the judge, which could happen according to the progress of the lawsuit.
