Queen Camilla Parker is proving why she is a well-deserved Monarch of the United Kingdom by launching a literary initiative that will see every final-year primary school pupil across the land as part of the celebrations of her 79th Birthday.
UK Schoolchildren will receive a special edition of “Impossible Creatures” by acclaimed author Katherine Rundell this Christmas. The nationwide project, created in partnership with the National Literacy Trust, is set to encourage children to develop a lifelong love of reading, as literature might be in crisis in this new online era.

Each copy will feature a unique Royal seal created for the occasion with a special message from Queen Camilla Parker describing the novel as “a brilliant fantasy” that perfectly introduces young readers to a world full of mystery and imagination.
To mark the special occasion, Buckingham Palace released a new portrait of Queen Camilla Parker taken last month in the State Drawing Room at Hillsborough Castle in Northern Ireland. There’s no doubt that the Queen’s love for reading and the foundation of The Queen’s Reading Room charity in 2023 will be one of the most valuable treasures of the United Kingdom for the years to come.
