Princess Kate marks January 9, 2026, with the conclusion of her series
Princess Kate Middleton released the final video of her Mother Nature series on January 9, 2026, coinciding with the day she turned 44 this year. In the film, the Princess of Wales walks through a frosty field, crosses a small bridge, and places her hand in a stream. She narrates the experience using a subtle voiceover to describe how being outdoors has helped her heal and stay present. PEOPLE reported that Winter was seemingly filmed during an early morning walk in Berkshire, where Kate resides with Prince William and their three kids. The outlet also stated that other scenes were shot in London and the Cotswolds, and it was shot by Will Warr.
The Mother Nature series has been a deeply personal, creative reflection on how nature has helped me heal. But it is also a story about the power of nature and creativity in collective healing.

“Even in the coldest, darkest season, winter has a way of bringing us stillness, patience and quiet consideration. Where the stream slows just enough for us to see our own reflection. To discover the deepest parts of ourselves, alongside the whispers and the pulse of every living thing,” the video says at the start.
The Mother Nature series ends after four films
Winter is the fourth and final chapter of her quarterly Mother Nature project. Princess Kate published the series in May 2025, timed with the start of Mental Health Awareness Week. Then, a Summer episode followed in August 2025, and an Autumn film was released on November 15, 2025. You can watch all three previous episodes here:
The film reflects on illness and shared healing
The Princess of Wales has spoken publicly about her health in recent years. She announced a cancer diagnosis in March 2024 and said she was receiving treatment, including chemotherapy. In January 2025, she revealed that she was in remission. In the Winter caption, she called the series a deeply personal creative reflection. In addition, she stated that it is about collective healing and about how nature and creativity can support people facing hard periods.
“To be at one with nature. A quiet teacher and a soft voice that guides. In memory, helping us to heal,” Princess Kate Middleton said.
