Princess Diana’s former butler and close friend, Paul Burrell, has given an interview to the British media where he shared some surprising details regarding Prince Harry’s childhood and his experience working with Diana.
Burrell decided to come forward and share his version of the story after Harry released a Nexflix documentary with his wife, Meghan Markle, where the couple revealed how living in the Royal Family has affected their marriage while painting a negative image of the royalty. The ex-butler worked for the late Princess for several years and was by her side during Harry and William’s early years, which is why he was clearly upset during the interview:
Harry comes from a very different place. He comes from a very privileged world. He’s forgotten the words loyalty, duty, respect to his country, to the people of this country and to his family
.
However, the publication of Harry’s book, Spear, was the last straw. He could not believe that someone who had apparently decided to live a normal and private life, like her mother, started sharing all those details without thinking about the consequences:
Harry, you’ve lost the plot. What happened? There’s been a shift in that young man, he’s changed and I’m saddened by it. My mental health has taken a bashing, does he not consider that or the mental health of anybody that he writes about?
Burrell also finished the interview ensuring everyone that Princess Diana wouldn’t approve of Harry’s actions as she was someone that liked to live out of the spotlight and she wished the same to her children.
