Prince William briefly mentioned Kate Middleton at an event as conspiracy theories about the Princess of Wales’ status continue to rise following her surgery. During the Diana Legacy Awards, an event honoring his late mom, Prince William gave a speech in which he mentioned Kate Middleton.
“Princess Diana’s legacy is something that both Kate and I have tried to focus on through our work, as have the 50,000 young people who have received a Diana Award over the past 25 years,” he told attendees.

William then gave the awards to 20 winners and then left the ceremony before his brother, Prince Harry, made a virtual appearance from California, USA.
The future king of the United Kingdom resumed his work schedule despite increasing concerns and speculation over Kate Middleton, as she remains out of the public eye since December 2023.
On the other hand, this Thursday, before the tribute to Princess Diana, William appeared at the opening of a new youth zone called WEST, where he also subtly mentioned Kate Middleton. William was decorating cookies with children when an attendee praised his skills, to which he responded:
“It’s really not impressive work. My wife is the arty one.“
