Prince Harry had a conflicting relationship with the royal family since he stepped down from his royal duties, and subsequently his royal title. The whole feud started after he publicly accused the royal family of being racist towards Meghan Markle’s offspring in his memoir, “Spare,” and the Netflix docuseries, “Harry & Meghan.”

Since 2020, the royal rift between the two parties has increased to unthinkable measures, which lead them to be completely distant from each other, regardless of King Charles III’s cancer diagnosis. Although Prince Harry has showed interest in relief the royal family’s weight regarding their royal duties, the family doesn’t seem interested in receiving the prince’s help.

Prince Harry's reconciliation with the royal family could take years

After numerous British media outlets reported that Prince Harry and the royal family were in the first steps of reconciliation, new evidence proved otherwise. Prince William and Queen Camilla Parker were highly against the idea of re-royal Prince Harry under any circumstance. In addition, the royal family have remained silent about the prince’s words in interviews in the last couple of days.

Jack Royston, Newsweek’s chief royal correspondent, was a guest in the “Royal Report” to talk about the future between Prince Harry and the royal family. He said that Harry needs to earn back his family’s trust before trying to join them ever again.

“Charles and William, I’m sure, will view Harry as having persistently betrayed them on multiple occasions over several years, including during times of grief. So obviously, they’re not going to just completely forget all of that straight away and go from open warfare one minute to innate implicit trust the next…”

Undoubtedly, Prince Harry and the royal family are going to keep distanced from each other for a little while. Trust is something that takes a long time to be rebuilt, and the royal family hasn’t healed their wounds yet
