Camilla Parker Bowles, who was once the mistress of the king Charles III, is about to become the Queen of England, and Prince Harry tried to prevent it for strong reasons.
Camilla has a very bad reputation among the British public because she was the third party in the beloved Princess Diana and Prince Charles’ marriage, who is now about to become king, in an official coronation on May 6th. Camilla is married to Charles, so, by right, she will also become queen during the same coronation, despite her unpopularity.
As a brief recap, Lady Di already had two children, William and Harry, both with King Charles, when Camilla Parker entered the marriage and became Charles’ mistress, leading to one of the biggest dramas in British crown history, which ended in the divorce of Charles and Diana. Shortly after, the princess died in a car accident in Paris, by that time, Charles and Camilla gained even more repudiation and became probably the most despised people in the United Kingdom when they announced their marriage shortly after Diana’s funeral.
Prince Harry, as Diana’s son, held a certain negative feeling towards Camilla, and could tell that she had a plan from the beginning to reach the royal throne. He revealed this in an interview with Anderson Cooper in January of this year, where Harry revealed that, in his eyes, Camilla was a villain with a plan to take the British crown.
For this reason, Harry, with the help of his older brother, William, tried to persuade King Charles not to marry Camilla, so she would never achieve her goal. Even so, Charles ignored his sons’ intuition and married Camilla, to top it all off, he will grant her the title of queen on May 6th at the official coronation.
