Prince Harry is still surrounded by controversies after suing several British tabloids for allegedly violating his privacy and leaking private information about him. This would be the first time that a member of the royal family going to testify in court in more than 150 years.
Next week, Harry is going to testify before the London High Court in the case against Mirror Group Newspapers for hacking the Prince’s phone to obtain information about his private life. He will have to confront Piers Morgan, one of the most famous journalists in the United Kingdom, in court as he is also directly involved in the scandal.
The court hearings will likely last for at least three days since there is a lot of evidence to be collected, including the opening statements, Prince Harry’s intervention and testimony, and the subsequent interrogation of the Mirror Group’s witnesses.
As a result, Prince Harry is going to become the first member of the royal family to testify in court since more than a century ago. The last member to do the same was King Edward VI back in 1870. It is also being said that Harry is going to visit the United Kingdom without Meghan Markle as it was previously rumored.
