Prince Harry is putting his money where his heart is! On Tuesday, September 9th, 2025, the Duke of Sussex revealed that he personally donated $1.5 million to support young people during a visit to Nottingham. The donation will fund grassroots groups tackling violence and challenges faced by local youth. Prince Harry called it a “significant investment” and reminded everyone, “I believe in you. I believe in what you’re doing.”

Even when many of his countryfolks turned their backs on him & his wife, pushing them to run for their safety & wellbeing, Harry & Meghan still do right by them, donating $1.5 million of their personal money to a UK children’s charity.

But this wasn’t a random gesture from the father of two, as Nottingham has been one of his long-standing commitments since 2014, when he first connected with groups like the Community Recording Studio and Epic Partners through his Royal Foundation work. During his visit, Prince Harry joined in a recording session, watched comedy and music performances, and sat down with young people and community leaders for a roundtable chat. Remarkably, the Duke of Sussex emphasizes how he won’t lose touch with Nottingham despite living in California since 2020 with Meghan Markle.

“Prince Harry is to personally donate 1.1 million pounds ($1.49 million) to the BBC Children in Need charity, the organisation said on Tuesday, one of the largest individual sums publicly given by a member of the British royal family.” pic.twitter.com/NEmOoomd5L

This trip marks his longest stay in the U.K. since Queen Elizabeth’s passing three years ago, and Harry used it to reconnect with people he’s supported for over a decade. Trevor Rose of CRS and Pete Bewley of Epic Partners. They were originally part of his community ties and were ready to welcome him back with open arms. Finally, he left the city with a touching promise, “I’ll continue to stand with you,” he expressed. “Nottingham has my respect, it always has, my commitment, and a permanent place in my heart.”
