After many battles with the British royal family, Prince Harry and his wife are now able to give their children, Archie and Lilibeth, the royal titles that are truly theirs. This is reason for celebration. This comes after a significant scandal that even forced the pair to relocate to the US from the UK.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have totally distanced themselves from Buckingham Palace over the past three years. The couple persisted in their fight to have their two boys enjoy the royal titles that are rightfully theirs as the sons of Prince Harry, who in turn is the son of King Charles III, despite all the accusations they made against the monarchy.
Harry and his wife have eventually succeeded in having their two children, Archie, who is almost four years old, and Lilibet, who is one and a half years old, recognized as princes of the United Kingdom, six months after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
The modification happened covertly and without the crown making any statements. They did it very simply by making a small change to their website yesterday morning at 10:20. In it, the kids are no longer referred to as Master and Miss but rather as Prince and Princess; in fact, they are now referred to as “Princes of Sussex” in a formal and legal manner.
“The children of every sovereign of the United Kingdom and the children of the children of every sovereign […] shall have, hold and enjoy the title or attribute of Royal Highnesses with the dignity of prince or princess attached to their baptismal names,” the British law states.
