Prince Harry recently returned to the United Kingdom to give his testimony in the case against Mirror Group Newspapers for allegedly hacking his phone to obtain information about his private life. During the three days of hearings, Harry opened up about his past but his testimony can be summed up in five key points.

In 2020, the Duke of Sussex made the decision to give up on his royal title and move to the United States to live a calmer life as he has been involved in several controversies due to the misinformation spread by the media since he was a child. As a result, it is not surprising that he decided to take legal action against some of these outlets.

Although the hearings are still ongoing and Harry is back in the United States, here are the five key points of his testimony:

First, Prince Harry openly spoke about how the media ruined his relationship with Chelsy Davy. According to him, it was “disturbing” how several tabloids constantly leaked information about their private matters, resulting in the breakup. Secondly, he also mentioned that he feels “physically sick” every time he thinks that Princess Diana might have gone through the same during the months leading up to her death.

Thirdly, members of the Royal Family might have collaborated with some of these tabloids and disclosed private information about him. Fourthly, he felt that he could not trust anyone which made him distance himself from most of his friends. As a result, he was pretty lonely through his childhood and teenage years.

Finally, Prince Harry concluded his testimony by saying that the media has “blood on their typing fingers” and continue “ganging up to protect each other.” He also reiterated that he will not stop until justice is served since the media’s actions cause pain and discomfort, and have a negative impact on people’s lives.
