Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have previously limited their kids’ appearances
Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020 and settling in California, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been intentional about raising their children away from the spotlight and celebrity life. Archie, now six, and Lilibet, four, have mostly stayed out of the public eye, with only rare and carefully managed appearances on TV and the Internet. Privacy has always been the priority, and for years, the couple stuck firmly to that plan.
An approach change for Lilibet and Archie

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s approach might be slowly evolving. In December 2025, the pair announced a rebranding of their nonprofit organization, changing the name from Archewell Foundation to Archewell Philanthropies after five years. Notably, the statement included the first official mention of their children, highlighting future philanthropic work as a family. The same month, Archie and Lilibet appeared on the family Christmas card, another quiet but noticeable shift.
A philanthropic twist mixed with a balanced public path

The children already hold Prince and Princess titles, confirmed in 2023 and updated on the official royal line of succession. In November 2025, they also made their charity debut during a Thanksgiving initiative in Los Angeles called Our Big Kitchen. The kids reportedly helped prepare meals for the local community. This move suggests that the two children are being raised with the same charitable commitments as their parents. While it was once understood that the couple wanted their children free from expectations, these recent moments suggest a balanced path. A public presence, but mainly focused on charity work, accompanied by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle themselves.
