The criticisms that the documentary series of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has received, are extremely large. From accusations of having lied, using undisclosed photos of Princess Diana to being accused of wanting to create a turf war within the British monarchy. But now, through a statement, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have responded to all these bad comments they have been receiving in recent days.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have released a statement to clarify that the search for privacy was not one of the reasons that caused their break with the British monarchy, in the face of the enormous amount of criticism they have received for allegedly contradicting themselves in the production of ‘Harry & Meghan’, their documentary series that is being broadcast on the Netflix platform.
The couple has stated that they never mentioned privacy as a reason to distance themselves from the Royal Family. This has been announced through a statement from their press secretary, after numerous criticisms were reproduced for the contradiction of fleeing from public life and then making a documentary about their privacy.
According to the statement, condignado by the British channel BBC, was created a “distorted narrative” about the resignation of Harry, and his wife to his royal duties in January 2020.
Dickie Arbiter, who was press secretary to the late Queen Elizabeth II, was one of those who flagged the contradiction.
“They left because they wanted privacy,” he told GBNews.
“Well, [there’s] not so much privacy in this documentary because we’re seeing a lot of family photographs.”
The debate surrounding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s privacy was reignited with the release of the documentary, in which the couple show images of their private life and recount intimacies of the Royal Household.
So far, the criticisms of the documentary series do not stop, so Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will have to find a way to deal with all these comments they have been receiving in recent days.
