The problems currently being presented by Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, would be a direct bill of their position and the attacks that both have made against the British royal family. A royal expert now claims that the couple is completely desperate to regain their reputation, as the public’s interest in them is waning.
In the midst of the financial problems of their Archetypes brand and other harsh accusations against them, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are looking to recover their reputation, which was damaged just as much as that of the British royal family.
“Rumors continue to circulate that the Hollywood elite are shunning the couple, while Meghan is said to be trying to distance herself from ‘Brand Sussex’“.
Royal biographer Tom Bower, has claimed that the allegations they made in their Netflix documentary last year are now beginning to have a detrimental impact on the couple’s reputation on a day-to-day basis.
In addition, the author claims that Meghan is especially looking to retract the attacks she made on the royal family during her controversial and media-friendly interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021.
Speaking to OK! portal, Bower expressed the following:
“They’re starting to taste the medicine they were given during the Oprah Winfrey interview. It’s very, very difficult for them to maintain their brand reputation. They constantly have to defend themselves and take opportunities that no longer exist“, he asserted.
“All she has is the baggage of the Oprah Winfrey interview and her cursing of the royal family in several successive interviews. That’s why she’s been so quiet all year“.
The biographer believes that the couple is quite aware of how difficult it is proving to be able to recover their image and reputation. The cessation of attacks is an attempt to get people to pay attention to them on things that are not linked to their rivalry with the royals.
“She knows they’ve probably gone too far and she doesn’t know how to get out of it now. What’s fascinating is how it will end – what’s the climax going to be?“
