Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s declarations in their Netflix docuseries ‘Harry & Meghan’ and Harry’s memoir ‘Spare’ were the last straw in their relationship with the Royal Family. In 2020, the couple decided to move to the United States to start a new life and although they are not royal members anymore, they are still seen as loose cannons who could destroy the royalty’s reputation.
Royal expert Tom Quinn recently discussed the matter on Channel 5’s documentary ‘Harry & Meghan: Is America Turning Against Them.’ According to him, the Duke of Sussex is seen as a “loose cannon” by the Royal Family while the Duchess of Sussex is seen as the “destroyer” of the institution.
“The Royal Family will be deeply upset by the fact they have this loose cannon, someone William was [once] close to. [Harry] has married this woman who seems to be encouraging him to destroy the Royal Family.”
On top of that, Quinn also assured that even if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continue attacking the royalty, Buckingham Palace will never publicly address the allegations. “Very sensibly, and in keeping with the tradition, the Royal Family [will never] say anything beyond things like ‘recollections may vary’ about these various events.”
‘Harry & Meghan: Is America Turning Against Them’ was broadcasted on June 3 on Channel 5 and it touched upon the controversial couple’s lives since moving to America and the scandals that have surrounded them in the past few months.
