Pledis Entertainment has announced that July 31st will be Jang Gyuri‘s last day as a member of fromis_9. Fans are shocked by the news of the girl group idol’s departure.
The agency, the label that handles fromis_9’s activities made the announcement stating that the girl group will now reorganize into an eight-member system with everyone except Gyuri (Gyu-ri) continuing her journey as eight active members.
Pledis Entertainment also reported that Gyuri, who was part of fromis_9’s recent comeback album ‘From our Memento Box‘, will be leaving his promotions soon.

In his statement regarding Jang Gyuri’s departure from the label, it was reported that Gyuri wanted to take a new path. Around the time the girl group was transferred from Off the Record Entertainment to Pledis Entertainment, where eight members of fromis_9 signed new contracts based on new conditions with Pledis.
However, Gyuri was the only member of the girl group whose contract was based on the same terms that she signed with Off the Record Entertainment. Pledis informed fans that after a discussion with Gyuri, it was decided that it would be best for the singer to part ways with the girl group and the agency.
On the other hand, there is no possible confirmation about Gyuri’s future activities to date, but it is likely that she will sign with a new agency in the coming days.
