What every Paramore fan has wanted to read since their announced hiatus in 2018 has happened, the band is officially back in the studio. The information is from the North American Rolling Stone website, which had access to the behind-the-scenes work of the trio’s sixth album.

Hayley Williams, Taylor York and Zac Farro were together in Nashville and, according to the report, the nervousness of being together again was quickly overcome. This will be the first project that just the three of them start from scratch, together.

We wrote and pursued something we love and it really surprised us”, Hayley said.

We kept joking that everything was falling apart from that point on, but thank God we were very surprised by everything. I’m always waiting for the moment to let us know if we’re creating something new and not just repeating the same shit.

It was like ‘Ain’t It Fun’ for our eponymous album, and ‘Hard Times’ or ‘Told You So’ for ‘After Laughter’”, she said.

It’s not about sounding like a success, but it’s a scary, exhilarating feeling that you’re stepping into uncharted waters. It keeps you curious. We have to feel that feeling from the beginning this time.

Paramore have revealed that they’re in the studio working on their first new album in five years.

From the release of “After Laughter” (2017) to here, the band paused activities together. The idea now is to focus on the recording process of the project, which still has no title or release date, emphasizes the report.

After the Nashville songwriting sessions, the three headed to California for the next leg.

We started recording just a few months ago. We got into the studio around 10am and left around 7 or 8pm like a bunch of parents.

About the sound, Hayley said that she and Taylor are returning to the past, rescuing old references, but warned that this is not necessarily a ‘return of emo‘.

The music we were excited about wasn’t exactly the kind of music we made”, Hayley said, giving some hints. There comes a greater emphasis on guitars and Zac can play drums like an ‘animal’ if he wishes.
