Guillermo del Toro’s highly-awaited adaptation of “Frankenstein” is finally coming to life with an iconic cast, Jacob Elordi and Oscar Isaac as the heart of the monster. Both actors not only shared the screen but also had photoshoots together, including the most recent one for Variety.
Elordi and Isaac discussed some details of the upcoming film, including Elordi’s stunning transformation as the creature, spending up to ten hours in the makeup chair for an enigmatic look. The actor himself confessed that there are so many layers of physicality, which were influenced by Japanese butoh dance and Mongolian throat singing.

On the other hand, Isaac plays Victor Frankenstein, reimagined as a Bowie-inspired bohemian artist. Guillermo del Toro’s vision seeks to make Victor less a scientist and more of a rock star, which Isaac agreed with, and brings another layer of complexity to the movie, which was stated as a “non-horror” movie.
The $120 million Netflix epic film was shot in Toronto and Scotland, and premiered at the Venice Film Festival on August 30, followed by a limited theatrical run beginning October 17. Subsequently, fans will enjoy Oscar Isaac and Jacob Elordi on Netflix starting on November 7. Are you ready for this amazing movie?
