Noelia Voigt was highly praised after she became the pageant titleholder of Miss USA 2023 on September 29, 2023. She became the second woman from Utah to win MISS USA, 63 years after its last win in 1960. However, Noelia relinquished her title in a heartbreaking Instagram post on May 6.

The Model and student of the University of Alabama explained she wanted to relinquish her title as Miss USA 2023 to take care of her physical and mental well-being. Although she was proud of representing her country, she felt it was time to start a brand new chapter in her life.

“I realize this may come as a large shock to many. Never compromise your physical and mental well-being. Our health is our wealth. A million thank you to all of you for your constant and unwavering support. Time to write the next chapter. I hope you’ll stick around to see what’s next,”

The Miss USA Organization was completely compressive with Voight’s decision to seek better physical and mental health. They thanked the beauty queen for her service during these months and wished the best for her.

“We respect and support Noelia’s decision to step down from her duties. The well-being of our titleholders is a top priority, and we understand her need to prioritize herself at this time. We are currently reviewing plans for the transition of responsibilities to a successor, and we will soon announce the crowning of the new Miss USA.”
