On September 23rd, 2025, rumors that Netflix had locked in back-to-back production for The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call seasons 2 and 3 started popping up. But before fans could start celebrating the reveal, a company rep poured some cold water on their dreams, clarifying that follow-up seasons are still under review. Unfortunately for fans, they won’t be able to binge-watch just yet!

“We’re grateful for the interest in ‘The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call.’ Follow-up seasons are currently under review, but nothing has been confirmed yet,” the rep unveiled.

The drama, which premiered in January 2025, follows Baek Kang Hyuk, played by Ju Ji Hoon, a genius surgeon with a military background who brings a defunct trauma care team back to life. The show quickly became a smash hit in South Korea and abroad, winning Ju Ji Hoon Best Actor at the Baeksang Arts Awards in May. By July 2025, it had also snagged three trophies at the Blue Dragon Series Awards.

Netflix drama <#TheTraumaCode_HeroesOnCall> reportedly will produce Season 2 and Season 3 simultaneously. The plan is to begin full-scale production preparations at the end of this year and start filming around next summer.

With that kind of momentum, fans are understandably eager to watch more! Even if Netflix is staying a little bit quiet for now. But in any case, the hype around The Trauma Code proves this is not just another K-Drama; it’s leaving a mark on both Netflix and the history of South Korea’s entertainment.
