Netflix may raise subscription prices after Hollywood strikes

More than four months ago the news came out that the Hollywood industry was going through a terrible time as the screenwriters union and the actors union decided to go on strike.

Due to the strike, productions had to stop, causing many titles that were already assigned to a release date to be delayed. Now the problems that this strike could cause would go beyond the unions, since even a famous streaming platform like Netflix. It could increase its subscription prices after the strikes.

Netflix could raise its subscription prices after the strikes in Hollywood.

On Tuesday, the Wall Street Journal reported that the most popular streaming platform today was considering raising the monthly subscription fee. This announcement triggered a significant 3% increase in the shares of Big N Red, which had announced a new, cheaper subscription plan but with ads present.

According to a WSJ report, the company is investigating new fees that will be registered in several global markets, with a start in the U.S. and Canada. However, Netflix executives have not issued any statement or response to this report.

Netflix, is not tired of being in controversy about its prices, as it would not be the first time that this platform would increase them seriously affecting consumers, remember that one of its recent changes has been to charge for television making it lose extremely many of its subscribers as it has become an extremely expensive service.

What do you think about it? Will you continue with your Netflix subscription despite the price hike once again?
