The world’s largest digital streaming platform, Netflix, has made a decision that has cost it a millionaire sum of money, canceling a project that was already ready to start filming. Apparently, the digital platform did not see the development of this film as viable.

It is ‘Master of Universe‘, a movie that was going to personify in the real image the characters of Mattel, after having acquired the rights of this, however, Netflix decided to cancel it due to the few compensations that stipulated the film, a decision that would cost them 30 million dollars.

A big problem, as Netflix had already financed several details of the production to start filming on the sets, but the decision-making by the executives has not been clear, this film has been trying to record since 2007, what finally seemed to be solved, is once again a drift.

Netflix was stuck with this project, which had planned to cast Kyle Allen as the lead, as well as brothers Adam and Aaron Nee, but everything got complicated when the people in charge of financing the development of the film saw a drastic increase in the budget they had set to make the film a success, which caused them to end up taking the most reliable option, canceling the film.

On the other hand, some experts in the field assured that Netflix had not been making the decisions with clarity, since canceling a film that had already taken $30 million in preparations is not one of the best ideas, and stated that if the film had not been as successful as expected, it could have at least collected what was invested.
