On December 8 KST, Doyoung took over NCT’s social media accounts to release the music video teaser of his single, “Promise.” The idol sings a heartfelt melody, paired with the poignant lyrics: “Left after leaving just the words ‘I love you.'” alluding to his enlistment.
The emotional content related to the idol’s enlistment in the military has become “Promise” as the song of the eternal hope of a return. Fans are overwhelmed with the teaser and showed support in the comments, promising to wait for him once his military training is done.
