MONSTA X‘s Hyungwon was quarantined after having contact with a person with Covid-19 backstage in the movie “Fly Again”. The information was confirmed last Sunday, August 1st, by Starship Entertainment, the agency responsible for the K-Pop group.

According to the Soompi website, Hyungwon tested negative after a first test for the disease. However, it will remain in quarantine as a protective measure.

The publication also states that, due to the Covid-19 case, the filming of the movie will be interrupted.

In another releated news with MONSTA X, Shownu, leader of the K-Pop group, officially enlisted in South Korea’s military army on July 22nd. Starship Entertainment stated that the enlistment would be private and without special events to prevent amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Because of this, the artist’s colleagues and fans said goodbye through social networks .

Shownu’s name ended up on Twitter’s trending topics worldwide with several statements from fans wishing him good luck in this new phase. The MONSTA X, in turn, share a farewell. In the record Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Jooheon and IM appear pampering the artist who, in the caption, wrote:

I promise to meet you again, and I will return in good health. I will become more mature and come back with a better side of me.

Thanks“. He even showed his affection for his fans with the hashtag: “I love you, Monbebe”.

Shownu will under go basic training for three weeks and then complete his mandatory military service as a civil servant. That’s because the artist recently dislocated his shoulder and still underwent surgery for retinal detachment in his left eye.

The enlistment announcement came after the comeback of MONSTA X with the mini-album “One of a Kind“, with seven new songs and MV for the title track “GAMBLER“.
