In recent days, Universal and Illumination announced that they finally have a release date for ‘Minions 3‘ as their latest production, ‘Despicable Me 4‘, debuts to worldwide box office success.
The multi-million dollar franchise of the little yellow mischief makers will continue to grow as ‘Minions 3’ is reportedly set for release on June 30th, 2027, under the production of Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri, who expects this sequel as well as the previous installments to become an imminent success.
Since ‘Despicable Me 4’ debuted on the big screen, it has grossed a staggering $230 million at the worldwide box office, demonstrating the huge success and popularity of the franchise that has collectively generated nearly $5 billion.
When the first installment of ‘Despicable Me’ was released in 2010, where the Minions were first introduced, the public’s acceptance was such that they quickly became the biggest global animated franchise in history, as viewers often wanted more and more installments of these little creatures.
