After the moving final of the last season of ‘Stranger Things,’ Millie Bobby Brown finally speaks out about the controversial ending of her character Eleven, the protagonist and reason behind all this adventure.
In conversation with Netflix for the documentary behind the last season of the series, the actress recalled the character’s controversial decision to stay inside the crumbling Upside Down so her blood can’t be used to open more portals and the Duffer Brothers’ intention to leave Eleven’s fate up to the viewer.
“As a young girl, I couldn’t find my inner voice, and I could relate to Eleven in that way.”
“I think this season she is able to find her voice and make a decision that’s far greater than any she’s ever made before.”

Millie Bobby Brown assures that that decision was “so beautiful and cathartic” and something she wanted for a “very long time.” And continue, “I just think it’s incredibly important that it all ends for her, and the suffering and the pain end.”
“Everything has a purpose, and everything is there for a reason.”
