Recently, Miley Cyrus has been promoting her latest single “Used to Be Young” with a reflecting upon past moments of her career. The singer has posted these memories as TikTok videos, which have given fans more information regarding her career and revealed how Miley feels about these memories now.
The “We Can’t Stop” singer has continued to promote these series, and this time she talked about a funny experience that involved her and Ariana Grande. On Tuesday, September 5 Miley Cyrus looked back at her 2015 Backyard Session with the “7 rings” singer. At that time, the pair were promoting Miley’s Happy Hippie Foundation and took the occasion to sing a song.
During the performance, which was streamed through Facebook at the time, both Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande were dressed in onesies to sing “Don’t Dream It’s Over.” Before Ariana started singing, Miley asked, “Are you a mouse? Or a bear?” In response, Ariana confusedly replied, “Uhm…” After this, Miley told the “Positions” singer, “Whatever you are, it’s probably the cutest mouse bear thing I’ve ever seen.”
After a couple of seconds of awkward silence, Ariana replied, “You’re the cutest unicorn in the world” with a nervous smile. It was at this moment when Ariana missed her cue to sing and delayed the execution of the performance. Due to this, Miley quickly took accountability and said, “It’s fine, we can just riff on it! Sorry, I was f*cking you up.” She kept apologizing and affirmed, “Sorry, I was flirting, sorry!” during the video.
Looking back at the moment in her recent “Used to Be Young” sessions, Miley affirmed that Ariana was most likely “scared” by her “flirting.” Still, the “Wrecking Ball” singer revealed that she had a lot of fun with Ariana Grande, as she has been friends with the 30-year-old singer for a long time now.
