A few hours ago the official trailer and premiere date for the long-awaited Michael Jackson biopic were finally shared with the world, generating even more enthusiasm around the movie about the life of the King of Pop.
Lionsgate recently released the trailer for ‘Michael‘, which starts with the singer in the studio alongside Quincy Jones (Kendrick Sampson), who says: “I know you’ve been waiting a long time for this. The tracks are made, the songs are ready. Let’s take it from the top”.
The teaser continues showing clips of Michael Jackson’s childhood, performances, and music videos while starting to play his 1982 hit ‘Wanna be Startin Somethin’.
The movie directed by Antoine Fuqua stars the singer nephew Jaafar Jackson as Michael with the participation of actors like Miles Teller as Jackson’s attorney and adviser John Branca, Colman Domingo as his father Joe Jackson, Nia Long as his mother Katherine Jackson, Jessica Sula as his sister LaToya Jackson, and Larenz Tate as Motown Records founder Berry Gordy, among many others.
The movie is set to be released in theaters on April 24, 2026. Previous reports revealed that the production was split into two parts; though from the trailer, it appears to be just one film, the details of the second part remain unknown.
