After being awarded, Michael took the podium amidst applause, where he gave an emotional speech, which also made the audience laugh, as he began with a funny joke about his convalescence: “Guys, stop, you’re making me shake”.

The Canadian expressed the pride he felt upon receiving this award, and thanked all his family for accompanying him in all his projects:

“This is a totally unexpected honor and I’m really grateful. I have been surprised that everything I have been given, the success with my wife Tracy, my family, has prepared me for this profound opportunity and responsibility.

It’s been a gift.”
