The celebrity recently revealed to his fans that he had a brain tumor and has decided to take a break from his tour so he can recuperate at home:
“Just before the vacations, it was discovered that I had a brain tumor, which required immediate surgery,” the 70-year-old artist wrote on his Facebook page. “Thanks to my amazing medical team, the operation was a success.”
“It is always the hardest thing for me to ever disappoint my fans or postpone a concert, but have no doubt that I am working hard to speed up my recovery and get back to performing soon,” he wrote.
“I am beyond grateful for all the love and support you have so generously shown me over the years. Know that I hold your positive messages in my heart, and will give you more updates as soon as I can.”
The two-time Grammy winner had upcoming tour dates in Florida, California, Ohio, Louisiana and Texas before heading to Europe in the summer. Bolton explained that last year he found the most joy in his home life after a successful career in the music industry. Daughters Isa, Holly and Taryn are shared by Michael with ex-wife Maureen. He is also the father of six children.
