Over the course of the seasons, one of the most beloved series has starred world-class actors such as Selena Gomez or Steve Martin but now it has been announced that one of the greatest actresses of all time, Meryl Streep would be returning for the fourth season of this hit series.
Recurring once more, Meryl Streep will play Oliver Putnam’s love interest Loretta Durkin in Short. Melissa is coming back for the next season because, as Burke states in the Hollywood Reporter podcast, “she had a great time.” Molly Shannon, Dan Fogelman, Short, Gomez, and Jess Rosenthal executive produce alongside Meryl Streep.

Three strangers with a common interest in true crime podcasts team up to investigate a death in the apartment building they all live in New York.
Another actress who will be in the new season is Molly Shannon, who will play a powerful Los Angeles businesswoman who gets pulled into the world of New York investigation. So we are so excited to see the three-time Emmy nominee.
After attending a panel at the Television Critics Association (TCA) on Saturday, the Disney executive, Erwich, told Deadline that the tale is set in California in the early scripts he has read:
“Well, I’m very excited to see Steve, Martin and Selena take a little break from the apartment building and come to Los Angeles,” “So in the same way that John Hoffman used the canvas of Broadway to tell what I think was one of the most unique seasons you’ve ever seen, the same unique Only Murders take will be applied to Los Angeles, which I’m really excited about.”
