That’s none other than MelOn, South Korea’s largest digital music platform and one of the most influential tastemakers in the KPop industry. Founded in 2004, MelOn’s charts reflect real streaming data, downloads, and listener behavior, making its rankings a serious cultural picture. Most recently, the platform released its list of the top 20 K-pop songs in history, instantly sparking nostalgia, debates, and opinions.

The list spans nearly three decades, blending first-generation pioneers with third-generation talents that have left their mark.
