While participating in a panel on empowering Afro-Colombian women on August 18, Meghan Markle noticed something one of the fans wasn’t doing its job. She quickly stood up and adjusted it to cool down the panelists. The audience, including Colombian Vice President Francia Márquez, applauded the sweet and considerate gesture.
As the Duchess of Sussex was returning to her seat, she effortlessly sent an empowering message, saying in Spanish, “Women helping women.” The panelists agreed, thanking and acknowledging how women naturally step in to solve problems.
