Due to the numerous issues that Meghan Markle and her husband Prince Harry have been embroiled in, the Duchess of Sussex missed the Met Gala.
Since the Duke of Sussex decided to renounce his royal rights, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have gained a lot of notoriety. With the release of the memoir “Spare” and the Netflix miniseries, the Duke and Duchess may have earned the most unfavorable references of all the British royals.
The secretive world of the Met Gala may not have wanted the Duke and Duchess to attend the event because of this, according to EXPRESS UK magazine, who quotes American journalist Kinsey Schofield who believes that the Sussex brand or their presence has become “toxic.” For this reason, the former actress was absent. The Met Gala’s president, Anna Wintour, “would not want any aspect of the event to divert attention from the coronation of King Charles on May 6,” Schofield continued.
Although the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have their own projects, it is very likely that for a while they won’t be involved in any other work outside of their own because of the negative aspects of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry that have made many businesses and events hesitant to count on them because of the fact that they didn’t pay more attention to the people who caused a stir in the British royal house.
