Meghan Markle is desperately looking to reconcile with his father-in-law, King Charles III, just a few days before the coronation. The ceremony is shaping up to be the biggest event of the year and it looks like she does not want to miss it.
Meghan has been in a relationship with Prince Harry since 2016. However, the couple decided to distance themselves from Buckingham Palace a couple of months ago due to the constant attacks that they were exposed to. Since then, they have been outspoken and critical of the royal family.
Despite the broken relationship, the Duchess of Sussex wants to reconcile with King Charles III. She confessed in her Netflix docu-series that she really wants her children to grow up with a big family and to have a good relationship with their uncles and grandparents. At the moment, this seems like something impossible because they are not on their best terms but this could change in the future.
According to a royal expert:
“Meghan doesn’t want any more rifts. She wants her children to know their grandfather, Charles, particularly when they are not going to know their other grandfather. She does hope they will meet and hopes her decision will be seen as an unselfish one, as it was best to keep the attention on His Majesty.”
It is also being reported that this might be the reason why she does not want to attend the coronation ceremony. She knows her presence could bring more controversies to the royals who have been desperately trying to clean up their image and it could further damage her relationship with them.
