Meghan Markle wore an iconic piece of Princess Diana’s jewelry during a night out with Prince Harry in Canada! The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended an event supporting music producer David Foster and the David Foster Foundation on August 7, 2026, marking 40 years of fundraising by the foundation. For the gala, Meghan Markle donned Princess Diana’s diamond and sapphire earrings with a dress by Canadian designer Greta Constantine, while Prince Harry wore a black tuxedo and bow tie. This meaningful jewelry choice came shortly after the Sussexes shared a rare photo of their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, visiting Althorp, the childhood home of Princess Diana.

Other guests at the August 7 event included Foster’s wife, Katharine McPhee, Adam Levine and Josh Groban. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been friends with the music producer for years. In 2019, Foster arranged the couple’s stay at a mansion on Vancouver Island. He later told the Daily Mail that he was happy to be able to help them find a place to relax and take time off.
“I felt honored that I was able to help Meghan there because I’m a Canadian, and we’re a Commonwealth country; we’re the Crown’s. It’s important to us, so I grew up with that kind of sentiment,” Foster revealed. “I was really happy to be able to help them to find a respite just to take a little time off.”
Canada seems to be a special country for the Sussexes. Meghan Markle lived in Toronto while she was filming Suits, right as their relationship began. The pair made their first public outing at the Toronto Invictus Games in 2027, and later spent family holidays in Vancouver back in 2019. They returned to the city for the 2025 Invictus Games.
