Meghan Markle and Prince Harry discuss her possible return to acting following their UK move

The Duchess of Sussex is reportedly considering a major role for a Netflix series

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reportedly been discussing a possible acting comeback for the Duchess of Sussex. According to PEOPLE, Meghan Markle is in talks to appear in the Guy Ritchie-directed Netflix drama “The Gentlemen.” The project could mark her biggest scripted acting role since“Suits,” where she played Rachel Zane before leaving the series to marry Prince Harry in 201.

The mother of two previously said in a 2022 Variety interview that returning to acting was not part of her plans “I guess never say never, but my intention is to absolutely not,” she affirmed. However, sources now say she and Harry had talked about the possibility before discussions about even “The Gentlemen” began. In recent years, Meghan has appeared on Netflix with her lifestyle series “With Love, Meghan” and also filmed a cameo as herself in the upcoming movie “Close Personal Friends.”

Meanwhile, “The Gentlemen” is filmed in the United Kingdom and is set in England, with Theo James, Kaya Scodelario and Giancarlo Esposito among the show’s cast. Netflix announced the series’ third season on August 24, with production already moving forward. During the Edinburgh TV Festival on August 26, Netflix executive Manda Levin responded to Meghan Markle’s rumored casting, saying, “All bets are off.” By August 19, the Sussex couple were rumored to relocate to the United Kingdom to continue having a private, non-royal life with their children. On August 26, it was confirmed that the family of four had officially returned to Britain.
