On October 17, Hwa Sa appeared in a new episode of MAMAMOO’s Moon Byul YouTube talk show. The host candidly shared that she took a long break and started to eat a lot, which Hwa sa laughed and replied that she was weighing around 50kg after taking her break.
Then, Moon Byul shared her story about losing weight before making a comeback to be in a healthy figure. Hwa Sa resonated with the idol’s comments, explaining that she wasn’t much different from her, leading Moon Byul to ask what happened with Hwa Sa and her notorious weight loss.
“I changed my workout routine for my comeback. My performance style is usually very intense, from the first song to the last. When I was at my slimmest, I couldn’t handle that kind of stage. But my new song has a more delicate and emotional feel. It tells the story of someone with a painful past, so I planned to shape a softer, more fragile image this time. You know how emotional stress can make you lose weight. I think that’s part of it, too. Yes, I did lose quite a lot.”
