One of the most famous actors in Korea has lost his life and social networks can not stop talking about it, since the alleged cause would be something fatal, as everything would indicate that the star of Parasite would have committed suicide and people have shown their sorrow through social networks that are already speculating what would be the causes of the tragedy.
Lee Sun-kyun is found lifeless due to alleged suicide
Seongbuk police reported that, after getting a missing person’s report, they had been searching for Lee, 48. Lee had been the subject of police investigations into allegations that he had used illegal drugs. Lee insisted he used the drugs through a hoax and that he did not know what he was taking, according to Yonhap.
According to international media, Sun-Kyun’s body was found this morning at around 10:30 a.m. in a downtown park. So far, the cause of death has not been disclosed, however it is presumed that the 48-year-old actor took his own life, as he was facing a drug charge.
Lee received accolades for his role as Park Dong-ik, the father of the wealthy Park family, in “Parasite.” A highly acclaimed film that made Korean cinema internationally known as a great cinema and with that, great opportunities for its actors.
Lee is also known for shows such as 2007’s “Behind the White Tower”, the 2010 series “Pasta” and the sci-fi thriller series “Dr. Brain”, for which he was nominated for an International Emmy Award.
