In an interview with Variety, Lee got real, saying: “As grateful as I am, I’d be lying if I said there wasn’t any pressure,” he said. “We’re going to be releasing Season 3… I hope it does not disappoint.” Talk about carrying the weight of millions of binge-watchers on your back! Lee’s role as Seong Gi Hun has become iconic, and he knows this final blow has to strike hard!

Every game must come to an end.

Nielsen ratings confirm Squid Game isn’t just a hit — it’s a phenomenon. The second season pulled in an average of 27.1 million viewers, making it the top-streamed show of the year. With Netflix dominating the charts and Squid Game leading the charge, the bar for Season 3 couldn’t be higher. And with fans clinging to every trailer, the hype is getting very real. Season 3 premieres June 27, and the trailer teases more twisted games, psychological mind games, and the return of the masked Front Man. But for Lee Jung Jae, this isn’t just another role, it’s a farewell tour for a character who’s been through hell. As fans get ready to say goodbye to Gi Hun, let’s hope the final round is as unforgettable as the first slap in episode 1.
