LE SSERAFIM gave fans a clearer look at the making of the “BOOMPALA” music video after releasing exclusive behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot. The five-member group unveiled the dancey single on May 22, 2026, as part of their new album PUREFLOW pt. 1. The music video features futuristic costumes, loud party scenes, and unexpected backup dancers dressed as aliens, devils, and even a duck. Inspired by the chaotic energy of Mad Max: Fury Road, the production mixes a post-apocalyptic visual style with vibrant performance scenes. Members Sakura, Chaewon, Yunjin, Kazuha, and Eunchae all appear in dramatic outfits surrounded by giant speakers and party trucks.
The music video for “BOOMPALA” was officially released on May 22, 2026, shortly after the members promoted the song online with dance clips. The track includes an interpolation of “Macarena,” the global Latin pop hit that spent 14 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1996. In addition, the catchy chorus and choreography were inspired by the famous dance moves from the Macarena music video. Before “BOOMPALA,” LE SSERAFIM began this new era with the single “Celebration,” which arrived in April 2026 as a high-energy electronic dance music track to get the party started.
PUREFLOW pt. 1 marks the group’s first major release since the 2025 single “SPAGHETTI,” featuring BTS member J-hope. The new album also follows LE SSERAFIM’s 2023 debut studio project UNFORGIVEN, which gave fans hits like Eve, Psyche & the Bluebeard’s Wife, and Flash Forward. Thanks to its bold visuals and strong virality, “BOOMPALA” is already becoming one of the group’s biggest releases so far.
