KPop Demon Hunters’ “Golden” ties BLACKPINK’s Rosé “APT.”
KPop Demon Hunters officially made another moment for the history books with the mega hit “Golden,” a track from the Netflix hit. The song has secured its 19th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart dated December 20, 2025. With this milestone, Golden ties BLACKPINK’s Rosé and Bruno Mars’ “APT.” for the longest running No. 1 since the chart launched in September 2020.
A brief history of the “Golden” chart run
“Golden” first claimed the top spot back on July 19, 2025, marking the first chart leader for HUNTR/X, who are the fictional girlband in the KPop Demon Hunters universe, and they’re singing voices are EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI. Between December 5 and 11, the song pulled in 70.8 million streams outside the U.S., plus 5,000 global sales, proving its grip is still strong, even as we’re entering the holiday season and Christmas songs start to take over the charts. “Golden” now stands shoulder to shoulder with some serious heavy hitters in Billboard history.
Here’s a wrap of the songs that held the top spot on the chart for the longest time:
19 weeks at No. 1, “Golden,” HUNTR/X: EJAE, Audrey Nuna & REI AMI, beginning July 19, 2025
19, “APT.,” ROSE & Bruno Mars, Nov. 2, 2024
17, “Die With a Smile,” Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars , Sept. 7, 2024
14, “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” Mariah Carey, Jan. 2, 2021
13, “Flowers,” Miley Cyrus, Jan. 28, 2023
13, “As It Was,” Harry Styles, April 16, 2022
The holiday season takes over the charts
Speaking of holidays, the chart is feeling very Christmassy! Five Christmas classics sit in the Global Excl. U.S. top 10, led by Wham!’s Last Christmas, climbing to No. 3. Taylor Swift’s The Fate of Ophelia stays steady at No. 2 after its October reign, while Mariah Carey and Brenda Lee continue their annual chart takeover with their holiday hits. Still, Golden remains untouched at the top, proving that KPop Demon Hunters are both slaying demons and the charts.
