But “Golden” is not flying solo, as the movie’s soundtrack is serving hit after hit, with Saja Boys’ Soda Pop climbing to #4 and Your Idol landing at #7. Meanwhile, Olivia Dean’s Man I Need is holding down the #2 spot, Sabrina Carpenter’s Tears stays at #3, and Tinashe’s collab No Broke Boys locks in at #5. Clearly, the U.K. chart is buzzing with fresh bops.
The lineup does not stop there. Sabrina Carpenter scored another entry at #9 with When Did You Get Hot? and Lady Gaga stormed in at #13 with The Dead Dance from Wednesday’s season two. Vintage tracks are also having viral resurgences, with Coldplay’s Sparks peaking at #18, Gorillaz’ Feel Good Inc bouncing to #27, and Rihanna’s 2008 gem Breakin’ Dishes back at #30.
