King Charles is set to have his first overseas appearance since his cancer diagnosis! The monarch will attend the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings, which commemorate the invasion of Normandy in France during World War ll to liberate Western Europe from Nazi Germany’s control. On this occasion, the royal family proves their resilience in the face of personal health challenges.

The king will participate in ceremonies both in the United Kingdom and France, marking an appearance to pay homage to the military operations in World War ll. The event will take place at the British Normandy Memorial in Ver-sur-Mer on June 6, and will honor over 20,000 people who served under the command of Britain in the Battle of Normandy.
This D-Day’s anniversary is expected to also have the presence of Queen Camilla and Prince William. They will first visit the Juno Beach Centre at Courseulles-sur-Mer along the Channel coast, honoring Canadian veterans and remembering their heroic efforts during the war.
However, there’s no sight of Kate Middleton, who is still undergoing preventive chemotherapy for cancer. The Princess of Wales hasn’t made any important public outings since December last year. Still, King Charles will take the lead, stepping back into his royal duties for with important overseas event, and proving the royal family is still standing strong.
