King Charles III is back on the royal scene with a special visit to Oxford Photovoltaics on Friday, March 27. The Monarch of the United Kingdom added humor to his visit by joking that a commemorative plaque might end up in the company’s “downstairs loo.”

This amusing interaction followed a brief mishap when the plaque slipped from its easel during the unveiling. The King couldn’t contain his emotions as he laughed with the employees and the attendees.

In addition, the King toured facilities and met staff working on advanced solar panels designed to capture a broader spectrum of sunlight. Ultimately, the King constantly proves he is aligned with the environmental causes since he assumed the throne in 2023.

King Charles III encouraged the company to accelerate progress toward commercial deployment, showcasing his long-time advocacy for environmental action. Chief executive, David Ward, stated that Oxford PV is now shipping pilot products to make this dream come true with market-ready technology.
