A few hours ago, KATSEYE‘s Manon liked a post suggesting her hiatus was due to racism and mistreatment, generating mixed reactions among fans and netizens on social media.

On February 21st, the singer announced she will be temporarily pausing her activities with the girl group to focus on her health, which revived the rumors of her departure from the group after fans’ accusations of her being lazy.

Despite her saying that the only reason for her hiatus is her health, a few hours ago she liked an Instagram video that suggested her pause was due to online racism and alleged mistreatment by the label, comparing her to the Little Mix and Fifth Harmony cases.

On social networks fans divide from those who think this is her way to express her true self and others who do not agree with this: “we need to support her since that fuckass company won’t,” “Oh this is getting messy. Just leave the group Manon and call it a day,” “It’s heartbreaking that this keeps happening… Black girls deserve better 🙏🏿💔,” “I’ve seen their Netflix documentary, it wasn’t about race but that she missed a lot of rehearsals & came off a bit arrogant.”
