KATSEYE reveals a new EP release date

KATSEYE has announced that their new EP, Wild, will be released on August 14, 2026, through HYBE x Geffen Records. The announcement was made on April 15, 2026, shortly after the girl band released the single Pinky Up and performed at the first weekend of Coachella on April 10, 2026. According to the project’s Spotify countdown page, the project will include five songs, among them Pinky Up. However, the cover art for Wild has not been revealed yet.

To celebrate the news, Daniela, Lara, Megan, Sophia, and Yoonchae posted a backstage video on Instagram. In the clip, they teased the EP announcement before the video cut to the large crowd gathered for their festival performance. “They don’t know we’re about to announce our new EP, Wild,” the members said in the teaser.

The project comes during a difficult period

Wild will be KATSEYE’s next EP release since last year’s Beautiful Chaos, which came out last year. That earlier project included the viral and controversial hit Gnarly, and the Grammy-nominated Latin-pop track, “Gabriela.” The upcoming EP also arrives during member Manon’s ongoing hiatus. HYBE and Geffen previously said she would step back from activities to focus on her health and well-being, causing confusion and intrigue among the fans. In addition, the 22-year-old was not present in the Pinky Up song and music video and was also absent from KATSEYE’s Coachella performance last Friday. This marked an important conversation surrounding the group’s latest era.

See Manon apparently missing from the Wild era. Fans can purchase a solo version of the EP featuring either Daniela, Lara, Yoonchae, Megan or Sophia. There is no option for Manon:

The members speak openly about Manon

Even with the new release on the way, the group has continued to speak warmly about Manon’s place in KATSEYE. In an interview with Zane Lowe before the first performance, Sophia said Manon was on hiatus and that the members loved her and believed she was doing well.

“Manon has been on hiatus, and we love her so much, and we know that she’s doing well … we’ve gone through so much with each other.”

Lara also said Manon would always be their sister and stressed that the group wanted to give her the space and support she needed. After making their Coachella debut on April 10, 2026, the group is now preparing to return for the festival’s second weekend on April 17, 2026, but it is still unclear whether Manon will join them for their next performance.
