Internet people have been very critical of the Duchess of Wales, Kate Middleton, for allegedly mimicking the clothing of Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle.
The two princesses’ relationship has not been the healthiest in recent years due to all the disagreements and negative incidents that have occurred between them, which has caused them to recently not even want to speak to one another. Due to allegations that the royal family has labeled the Duchess of Sussex as a commoner because she does not come from a royal family and also due to the rumors of insults or racial taunts they had against her, the alienation between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle has been quite well-known.
Also today, Kate Middleton is drawing criticism from social media for being caught mimicking a dress that Meghan Markle frequently wore. According to People magazine, the Duke and Duchess of Wales attended a luncheon on May 5—the day before King Charles III’s coronation—where Kate was spotted donning a white long-sleeved dress with black trim and heels similar to those Meghan Markle wore in the past. The Duchess of Wales would have imitated the Duchess of Sussex by wearing the Bow Tie Pump 105 by Aquazzura in black.
Although it is well known that Kate Middleton runs a campaign to reuse old clothing in an effort to lessen environmental damage, this was not a valid defense for the Duchess of Wales when the Duchess of Sussex’s supporters accused her of copying the style of shoe worn by Meghan and criticized the fact that she lacked her own sense of style and had to adopt others’.
