Kate Middleton had some serious cravings during her pregnancy, and Prince William could not stomach any of them! Opening up on Giovanna Fletcher’s Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast in February 2020, The Princess of Wales shared her struggles with hyperemesis gravidarum, a condition causing severe vomiting in early pregnancy.
“[It was] utterly rotten. I was really sick. I wasn’t eating the things I should be eating and yet the body was still able to take all the goodness from my body and to grow new life, which I think is fascinating.”}
Besides these difficult conditions, Kate Middleton also experienced cravings. For example, in her first pregnancy, she found comfort in a spicy Indian curry, specially prepared by family friends in her Berkshire hometown. In addition, during her last pregnancy, she was all about thinly sliced pickles on brown toast. This meal probably helped her recover what she had lost after vomiting.
Kate Midleton’s cravings were surely unique, leaving Prince William amused.
